No New News

Since it has been almost three months since my last post, I thought it was a good idea to borrow someones laptop and post an explanation. Not sure why I felt I needed to explain my absence, but I did, so here I sit, updating and explaining that this will probably be my last post for the next few months.

Yes, you did read it correctly....I had to borrow someones laptop. Mine totally crashed a couple of weeks after my last post. There is no saving it, it's dead. Damn it!

So bye-bye for now, until I am able to afford a new computer system. And at 4 grand, it will probably be a while!

May the Goddess protect and bless you with abundance in your life!

Still working on it

Well, I am still working on this Blog thing. My laptop is really slow right now, so I don't like powering up as much as I should for this blog. I will work to change that.

For now, once in a while in about all I am apparently able to manage. As for my little "Project", I decided not to buy into the program I mentioned earlier. Tried it for a week and it just wasn't for me. Sooo, right now I am rethinking and reading different books. The bottom line is that I need to eat more frequently, eat more fruits and veggies, and more fish. I don't eat red meat, but I would like to drastically cut the pork - which shouldn't be THAT difficult.

I was able to get my measurements. I will be getting tested for "my numbers" on Cholesterol etc. Once I have my numbers, I will post them and my measurements.

Had a little set back the past couple of weeks. I took my dogs for a walk and ended up laid up for two weeks due to what the nurse said was a bad flare-up of Gout. I still don't know how I got it, since I don't eat red meat, but never-the-less, it hurt like Hell! In fact, I couldn't walk at all for 3 days! It has gotten a lot better over the last couple of days, so I will probably be able to begin workouts again.

Well, until next time. May the Goddess protect and bless you!

A New Direction

Well, my blogs seem to be going into the Universe un-read....which is perfectly okay. That may actually be better. Since I have this set-up online already, I am going to take my little page in a new direction.

To put in bluntly, I am roughly the size of an elephant...on a good day. If I want to live to see Star Trek become a reality, or this country stand up again, or even next year, I need to do something NOW! With that said, and my little page all set to go, my "musings" are going to be about my weight loss journey. If I feel the need to comment on other items, I will, but the primary objective with these posts is going to be to monitor and record my progress. To act as my daily, or at least weekly, online diary.

Now for the start of this journey. Currently, I weigh in at a ridiculous 294 pounds. Not a bad weight if you happen to be a guy who stands at 12 feet tall, but for a 5 foot 7 inch woman...that just isn't a good look! The circumference of my hips is 64, and my "waist" is 53. Basically, a gigantic apple on fat little legs. frightening....absolutely frightening! Everything else is proportionally as large, so for now I am not going to put all of the exact measurements on here. I will take and log more specific measurements a little later.

Okay, rough measurements listed....check
plan... working on it.

I found a potential plan called Kristi Approved. She is a nutritionist and personal trainer. I have a call in to her to discuss my use of her plan. It doesn't seem to be a "crash" or "fad" diet. The caloric intake seems reasonable at between 1200 to 1500 per day along with a pretty do-able exercise plan. I'm excited to talk to her about how I can best utilize her program given the enormous amount of weight I need to lose.

Something else I want to start doing again will be my Total Gym workout. When I was working out with that piece of equipment, I lost quite a few inches. I just need to get off my butt and work out! Actually, right now, I need to find a place to set up the machine. That will have to be a weekend project.

Well, Universe... wish me well on my life change! I don't know how long it will take to lose an entire person plus some, but I'm anxious to find out.... and hopefully, it won't take very long! My goal is to be at least 80 (or 100) pounds lighter by August 2010.

Here we go!

Remember to be Grateful

I don't think I need to tell you, dear reader, that the World today is a hectic place. Everyone is busy rushing around doing "stuff". This "stuff" that we Humans are so busy doing may or may not be truly important in the grand scheme of things. Oh sure, this "stuff" is important to the doer at the time, but in the grand scheme of things....not so much.

I am writing this with full knowledge that I am in the same boat. When rushing and doing my "stuff", it too seems terribly important at the time.

Why do I bring this "stuff" up you ask. I bring this up because we (and I most certainly include myself in this statement) need to take a breath. Take time to look around you. Look... and really SEE the beauty that is around. Appreciate the sunset, or the snow crystals on the trees. See the beauty in the birds and animals around you. Breath the air. Be grateful for all you are, and those around you.

Say "Thank You" for being alive.

Blessed Be!
